QuickBid ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account.
• Profile Information: Company name, address, phone number, and logo that you add to your profile.
• Estimate Data: Job descriptions, line items, pricing, and customer details you enter when creating estimates.
• Customer Data: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses of your clients that you choose to store.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: App feature usage, session duration, and interaction patterns (anonymized).
• Crash Reports: Technical error logs to improve app stability.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not access your camera, microphone, or photo library unless you explicitly initiate such action.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's functionality
• To generate AI-powered estimates based on your job descriptions
• To store your estimates, customers, and templates for your use
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• To improve the App through anonymized usage analytics
• To provide customer support

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure).
• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.
• We implement row-level security ensuring you can only access your own data.
• We do not store your payment information (handled by third-party processors if applicable).

5. AI Processing

• Job descriptions you enter are processed by AI services (Google Gemini) to generate estimates.
• These descriptions are sent to the AI provider solely for estimate generation and are not stored by the AI provider for training purposes.
• Generated estimates are stored in your account for your use.

6. Third-Party Services

We share only the data needed to operate QuickBid with the following processors, and never for advertising:

• Supabase: Database and authentication — your account + estimate data is stored here.
• Google AI (Gemini): Estimate generation — job descriptions you enter are sent for AI processing. Google does not use this data to train models.
• Stripe: Payment processing for paid plans — Stripe handles card data directly, we never see or store it.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (estimate share, signed notifications, weekly summary, password reset).
• Sentry: Anonymized error and crash reporting to fix bugs faster.
• Vercel: Web hosting and privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking; honors Do-Not-Track).

7. Data Retention

• Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page.
• Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data (Settings → Delete Account)
• Export your data (estimates as PDF, profile as JSON — Settings → Export)
• Opt out of Vercel analytics via your browser's Do-Not-Track setting (Vercel honors it automatically)
• Disable AI learning and weekly summary emails in Settings

9. Children's Privacy

QuickBid is a professional tool for working contractors and is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us to request deletion.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
